Mr. Robert Kutin Jnr, a.k.a Old Soldier today, May 15,2022 picked Form to contest the NPP Central Regional Chairmanship.

Verifiable records indicate the enviable level Kutin Jnr has placed the New Patriotic Party in the Central Region through his resilience as Chairman.

As against the NDC, Kutin and his team has always led a victorious presidential elections in the Central Region since 2016.

If it were a game of football, Kutin would have scored 3:1 against the opposition National Democratic Congress.

In both 2016 and 2020, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo won Central Region( ie. 2). And, in 2016, NPP won 19 of the 23 parliamentary seats(ie.1) making 3:1

19 seats in 2016 represents 82.6%

The NDC in 2020 got 13 of parliamentary seats, standing at 56.5 %

Mathematically NPPs 82.6% in 2016 and NDCs 56.5% in 2020 cannot be friends.

 

Put the appreciated seats of both

NPP in 2016 (19 seats) =82.6%

NDC in 2020 (13 seats) =56.5%

It is indicative that NPP under Kutin performed better as a region comparing the years.

A 26.1% difference.

Despite the sad lost seats ,NPP is in government because Kutin with his team gave a resounding 52.7% of the total valid votes. As a result, Central placed 5th in performance out of the 16 regions in 2020.

This is was not a joke and going into 2024 will require a more experienced leader to build on existing systems to break the 8.

Robert Kutin Jnr is resolve, through his thematic areas of policies to work hard with the support of the grassroots to take back the lost seats and break the 8 with a new flag bearer. As a swing region, it not doubtful someone who has managed win for two consecutive times is required.

Despite the NDC top Gurus coming from Central, he managed, through potent strategies to sail the NPP through. Not the presence of late Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur as vice president nor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman, 2020 running mate of Mahama could overcome the focused and strategic Kutin and his team of party people, Polling station executives, Electoral area Coordinators, constituency and regional executives.

 

Some of his key targets include;

1. Retool the exiting communication team at all levels in order to have a potent communication team that will carry the support base along the path of party-people convergence.

2. Empower dispute management systems in handling teething Socio-Political issues within Constituencies.

3. Strategize to meet emerging social demands of communities and to large extent the constituency.

4.Train Polling Station, Electoral Area and Constituency Leaders in offering political and social leadership at all levels.

5.Continue to deepen interventions that seek to support welfare issues of leaders at all levels of the leadership structure of the party

He therefore wishes to entreat all constituency Executives, that, together with him, you’ve made an impact and the gains must be protected and added on.
