The minister of communications, Ursula Ekuful, has revealed that over 8 million SIM cards that have not been registered in the country have been blocked.
At the 14th ITU Kaleidoscope event, the communications minister revealed to journalists that over 8 million unregistered SIM cards had been blocked. She stated that people who have not yet registered were required to do so to help the ministry weed out fraudsters who hide behind the internet to perpetrate fraudulent activities on unsuspecting victims.
