Information reaching our news desk indicates that the current New Patriotic Party “NPP” Western Regional Treasurer, Anna Hormah Akaisi Miezah’s comments captured on a leaked tape on electoral manipulation in Essikado-Ketan constituency re-affirms, the opposition National Democratic Congress “NDC” stands on NPP stolen Essikado-Ketan parliamentary seat during 2020 general elections.
Mrs. Horma Miezer who is also an NPP parliamentary aspirant was recorded by one of their party executives during her engagement with polling and electoral area coordinators at Nketsiakrom, Essikado East, and West, Mpentemserew, Kojokrom, Kansaworado, Fijai, Ridge, Ketan, Anoe, Mempeasem, and Mpintsin between 27 December 2022 and 2 January 2023, where she made these disclosures.
This shocking leaked tape by the Deputy Director of the National Lottery Authority sought to have detailed accounts of how allegedly the NPP used government power to manipulate the results and steal the parliamentary seat from the rightful winner in the last election.
Mrs. Anna Hormah Akaisi Miezah’s confession, according to the 2020 NDC parliamentary candidate, Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, only confirms what has always been an open secret among those who witnessed, firsthand, that the NPP used violent military, police, and vigilantes to openly overturn the results on 2020 election night.
She emphasized that many of these facts were detailed in her election petition at Sekondi High Court filings that sought in exposing 2020 election fraud at Essikado-Ketan Constituency.

“It wasn’t just the people’s mandate or a parliamentary seat they stole, the many victims of their violent brutalities from that night are still around with no hope for justice under this corrupt Akufo-AddoBawumia regime.”, she added.
Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah stated that instead of the NPP and their leaders taking responsibility and apologizing to the good people of Essikado-Ketan for stealing their mandate, the NPP party leadership issued a lame statement blaming others, with sad excuses.
However, in refuting the claims of the 2020 election Essikado-Ketan NPP coalition agents namely Ebenezer Cudjoe and David Oscar Amoah in a joint press release, emphasized that Hormah Miezah’s comments have caused the party great disrepute, and further armed their political opponent, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who failed to prosecute the same allegation in court, to damage the NPP.
The aforementioned two stated unequivocally that there were no elements of manipulation or even an attempt to manipulate results or the electoral process right from the polling station to the Collation Center.
Furthermore, results, as collated by the party at the constituency were corroborated with certified pink sheets from the Electoral Commission at various levels.
“There were no variations whatsoever, in the results to even suggest something or someone tempered with the results or process in favor of the party’s parliamentary candidate, Joe Ghartey”, they added.
They, therefore, urged NPP members in the Essikado-Ketan constituency and the public to disregard the claims made by Anna Hormah Miezah and treat them as complete falsehoods.
Madam Anna Horma Akaisi Miezah declared her intention to contest in Essikado-Ketan’s upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries when the incumbent MP, Joe Ghartey sought to advance further in his political career to lead the ruling New Patriotic Party in the 2024 presidential election.

Constituency as a parliamentary candidate where she was unsuccessful in a contest together with the current Ellembelle District Chief Executive, Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh and other contenders.
