The Ekumfi Egyakwaa Owuya D/A Basic school has never had a toilet facility since its establishment in 1961 and the consequences of this lack have now been felt. Teachers and students always have to ease themselves in the buses whenever nature calls as a result of the school not having a toilet.
Mr. Luis Abban, the headmaster of the school was easing himself in the bush as usual when he stepped on a snake and got bitten by it.
His cries for help were heard by a nearby female student who was also easing herself in the bush. The headmaster was then rushed to the hospital and is now in stable condition after being treated for the snake bite.
