Some residents of Tema Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region have accused the Parliamentary Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Tema Central Constituency, Ebi Bright for setting her own cars ablaze to win public sympathy in the upcoming December polls
It would be recalled that two cars of the NDC candidate got burnt beyond repairs last Sunday dawn whiles it rained heavily.
Fortunately, no lives and other properties were lost in the incident which is under investigation.
However, Ebi Bright has accused her political opponents of having a hand in the fire incident.
But some residents of her area have rubbished such claims and accused her of burning her own cars looking at the circumstances surrounding the whole incident.
According to them, they are yet to understand why Ebi Bright who lives in a first class residential area with a gated community post that has a twenty four hour police post, could have her car burnt by someone who trespassed into her house
The NDC candidate resides in an area where the current Member of Parliament for Tema Central, Hon Kofi Brako in collaboration with the Community 6 and 10 residents association constructed a security post which has a police station which is four streets from the street Ebi Bright lives.
The residents also revealed that Ebi Bright also have CCTV cameras fixed in most laces in her house which can aid in the police investigations to accertain what actually transpired in the house
They wondered why the NDC in a rush to accuse their political opponents when the fire analysis and police investigations have to been completed.
“It’s a well orchestrated plan hatched to have her vehicles burnt in the house to win public sympathy and turnaround to use it as a bases to score political sympathy at a time when her campaign is suffering due to huge influence the NPP commands in Tema Central and it’s environs.
“Tema Central Constituency is a stronghold of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and has never come to close to the figures her opponent get in every elections she has contested in the area so why must your opponent obtain so why must you be targeted or worried about.
Let’s think beyond the rethorics,” one of her neighbours stated.
