Frienhoff Football Academy qualifies for Division One play off after topping division two zone 4 table.

The Ayan Abaasa based Frienhoff football Academy qualifies to the promotional play-offs after winning Central Regional Division Two Zone 4.

 

The Manchester City of Ghana football as popularly known are beginning to feel they can secure their spot in the Division One top-flight after just few years of existence in Ghana Football.

 

They recorded a 1-0 win over EM SPORTING CLUB last Wednesday to confirm their qualification to the final stretch.

 

Their head coach Phyl Nana Akomeah has been preaching unity ahead of what is expected to be the most important stage of the qualifying campaign.

They secured qualification leaving Aims Academy, Betymens Academy, etc to play catch-ups.

 

The play off is slated for 15th to 25th of May, 2024 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

 

Frienhoff Football Academy will lock horns with teams like Cheeta FC, Windy Professionals, Gap Academy among others in the play off.

 

The team is blessed with the experience and veteran coach in the person of GAD CARMELI as the technical director (formerly of Chelsea, Dortmond etc youth coach) and Philemon Akomeah former Ghanaian International who played for teams like Egypt telecom, Yeni Malatyaspor and many others) as the head coach.

Speaking with the Head Coach, Phyl Nana Akomeah, he alluded the team’s continuous improvement to the commitment of the entire management team and the team spirit of the playing body.

The team was formed in 2021 and in the first year in the second division, the target was to develope talents and build a formidable team to compete for the zonal title the following season but their hardwork annexed them the trophy and qualified to the middle league.

The team popularly referred to as the “MANCHESTER CITY” of Ghana football is blessed with many talents and attracted interest from top fifa agents across Europe. They played 18 game, won 14, drew 2 and lost 2. They Score 50 goals and conceded 19 with Maxwell Buabeng scoring 21 of the goals as the top scorer for the team and the zone and probably the region.
