The pharaoh is credited with the construction of some of the largest monuments in Egypt. He built the Ramesseum which is located in the city of Luxor. He also built a large temple in the city of Abu Simbel.
Pharaoh Ramses the Great was married to the famous Nefertiti, regarded as the most beautiful woman during the time. The Pharaoh died in 1212 BC.
