An officer of the forestry commission, Nana Yaw Owusu, who resides at Sekyere Dankwah in the Eastern Region is alleged to have threatened one Godwin Barasu after snatching his (Barasu) girlfriend.
Speaking to Agoo Fm’s Obrempong-Nana Kwaku Ampomah, Godwin Barasu said he has two children (a boy and a girl) with his girlfriend and planning to tie the knot with her. He later found out she’s been having affair with Nana Yaw Owusu and when confronted him, he (Nana Yaw) threatened to shoot him if he dares.
“Nana Yaw told me he will kill me if I misbehave because of the lady I have two children with. He later came with some men in military uniform to beat me and arrested me after accusing me of bringing a fetish priest to kill him which wasn’t true and sent me to Jejeti police station to be detained. He later came to take me out with his car and sent me to Kyebi police station because he said he doesn’t trust the police at Jejeti, and the officers at Jejeti also allowed him to take me with his own car without any escort.” He said.
He again said “he has even seized my taxi at the police station, accusing me that he found bullets in my car, and that I was planning to kill him that’s why there are bullets in my car which is not true. I don’t even have a gun.”
Godwin said he no longer stays in the house because of the threats because his life is at risk. And his car owner is at his neck demanding for his monthly sales but the car isn’t working and is with the police.
“I now stay in the bush. I only sneak to come home for some food and cloths because he has threatened to kill me so I’m afraid. Now my car owner too is demanding for sales which I don’t have because the car is still with the police. Now because of this, he has been terrorizing those who stay around with his men.” He narrated.
I’m appealing to all well wishers and those who matter to please come to my aid and that of those living around to calm him down for peace to prevail.” He cried.
Agoo news spoke to some residents about the matter and their responds were not pleasant. But all efforts made to reach him (Nana Yaw Owusu) to take his side of the story have proven futile.
