Fight Ensues In Trotro After Trotro Mate Refused To Reduce Fare Charges

Less than 1 minute Minutes

The GPRTU announced to the public that there would be a reduction in lorry fare charges by 15.3% effective on Monday 19th, 2022. The decrease in fares followed after the prices of fuel in the country was reduced.

However, some drivers and their mates have refused to reduce the fares as announced by the GPRTU. Some commercial bus users have revealed that some drivers and their mates have decided not to adhere to the directive issued by the GPRTU.

Commercial bus drivers and their mates are known to complain and quickly increase fares when fuel prices go up. However, when fuel prices reduce, they are always reluctant to reduce the fares accordingly.

A video posted on the social media site, Instagram shows the moment a fight broke out in a commercial bus after a ‘trotro’ mate refused to charge according to the new GPRTU directive. The mate is said to have charged the old fare price instead of the new one issued by the GPRTU and the passenger did not take kindly to this act of cheating.
