Famous Ghanaian broadcasting journalist, Serwaa Amihere, has stated that she has a got a feeling that the Black Stars of Ghana will be able to return home with the ultimate trophy at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Ghana is part of the nations taking part in the World Cup tournament in Qatar. The team came close to making history in the 2010 edition of the tournament that was held in South Africa.
However, the team had to bow out of the competition in the quarter-finals after losing to Uruguay on penalties in a much that raised emotions. Ghana was just a few seconds away from making history after Luis Suarez handled the ball inside the keeper’s area and received a red card.
One of the sensational goals of the tournament was also produced in this match by Ghana’s Sulley Muntari after he scored a long-range strike from near the center circle.
Ghana was not able to repeat its success in the 2014 world cup though the team was able to able match itself against teams such as Germany and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.
Ghana ultimately missed out on the 2018 edition of the competition and is now back after that hiatus. Serwaa Amihere thinks that the country may have another chance to make history for real this time.
