The 2 Garrison Imam for MM Tahiru Mosque under the Western Naval Command in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region, Mohammed Misbah Saaed has urged all religious denominations including the Muslim community to continue caring for each other and also protect religious harmony and tolerance.
According to him, Eid al-Adha is an important feast in the Muslim calendar is celebrated throughout the Muslim world as a commemoration of Prophet Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice everything for God.
He made this known to Kantanka Akwansosem on Sunday, July 10 as they brought Muslim Military and Non-Military men at a roundtable love feast during the just ended 2022 Eid-Ul-Fitr.
The Love feast on Sunday, July 10 was in line with thanksgiving Service on Saturday, July 9, where Muslims brothers both military men and Non-Military men gave thanks to God (Allah) at MM Tahiru Mosque, for granting them the strength throughout the 2022 Eid-Ul-Fitr.
Speaking to the Muslims through a sermon Mr. Saaed made emphasis of (Hadid) a saying of the prophet which state “a Muslim is a mirror to another Muslim”.
However, the 2 Garrison Imam with the Western Naval Command stated that, with the inclusion of other Muslims should be able to be kind and helpful.
Again, they should not engage themselves in envy and hatred but rather exhibit love throughout their lives among others with harmony and also protect religious tolerance.
He therefore called on Muslims and all religious denominations to continue the good works and care for each other as the world keeps changing each day with challenging economic implications so that Ghana can be a prosperous nation.
The celebration was supported by the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Western Naval Command, Commodore Samuel walker.
