Authorities of Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly has welcomed the operations of Betway, a gaming company in the metropolis.
According to the Assembly the operations of Betway will boost and grow businesses which will increase the revenue of the Assembly.
Addressing the gathering at the official opening of Betway office in Takoradi, Mr. Francis K. Amoah who represented the Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Assembly, said, gaming companies ate also contributing their quota to the development of the economy of the country, thus the need to support them for their sustainability.
He said statistics has proved that gaming create a source of employment for young people young people most especially the females in the Metropolis.
“People engage in gaming for either pleasure or to stand the chance of getting additional income”, Francis added.
Furthermore, the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive’s representative at the opening of Betway Company Takoradi branch assured the gaming company of the Assembly’s commitment in creating conducive environment for business to grow.
However, Francis K. Amoah therefore urged Betway gaming company to honour its tax obligation and also adhere to gaming commission’s rules and regulations.
Nevertheless, he commended Betway Company for involving the assembly during, before and after their establishment.
