Nathaniel Agyeman, 19 years of age who stays with his uncles at the Hydrophone Estate at Okpoi Gonno district in Accra on Monday, 30th of November, 2020 around 7:30pm was allegedly arrested for the murder of a lady around 32years of age whose identity is still not known but was invited by the suspect to his house around 11:20am on the same day.
According to sources, the deceased charged him 300gh but suspect Nathaniel was only able to give her 100gh but the deceased immediately after taking the money decided to leave the premises without fulfilling the agreement that actually brought her to the suspects house hence the suspect Nathaniel went for a hammer and hit her three time, twice on her forehead and one on the jaw which she fell and died. The suspect then went for a bust bin placed the body in and went to throw the body on a pit.
Suspect Nathaniel’s uncle who is a plumber came back from work same day and saw blood in the house so he immediately went to report at the Manet Police Station at Okpoi Gonno District which the suspect was arrested.
Suspect Nathaniel was sent to court on the Thursday 3rd of December, 2020 where he was remanded to assist further investigation.
Some exhibits which were picked up by the police from the scene includes mobile phone belonging to both suspect and deceased where the suspect has allegedly removed both sim cards, hammer, bedsheets used to clean the blood and other things used by the suspect and he dumped them in a manhole.
Suspect Nathaniel Agyeman is set to appear in court again on the Monday, 1st of February, 2021.
